School Picture Day | What Schools Need to Know 📸
Here I share more details about how Picture Day sessions work.
I’m always happy to customize pricing or product offerings if needed. If anything differs from what you’ve done with previous photography companies, or if you’d like to request a specific product, please feel free to let me know.
Thank you again for your interest — I truly look forward to the possibility of working together.

What makes you different?
1
What sets my services apart from larger photography studios is that I offer a highly personalized experience with a simple mission: to capture the authentic essence of each student while delivering high-quality images that parents truly love.
How the Process Works
2
How Picture Day is organized:
I work with schools to create a timeline that works best for them and ensuring a smooth school day.
I photograph students class by class using a roster provided by the school to ensure every student is photographed.
I arrive 45–60 minutes early for setup, and classes are sent in the order that best fits the school daily schedule.
I recommend having the class teacher present during the session, as children tend to feel more comfortable and confident with their teacher nearby.
There is no need for the school to collect order forms or payments — everything is handled online.
I manage all communication with families before, during, and after Picture Day to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible for the school.
All Picture Day details (viewing, ordering, and pricing) are shared with parents through a private webpage created exclusively for your school. HERE is a sample of this page,
Retakes & Make-Up Day
3
Yes — I do offer a free make-up/retake session. This covers:
Students who are absent on Picture Day
Families who are not happy with their child’s photos
We can schedule this as a separate make-up day or plan it in a way that best fits your school’s needs.
My sessions are always cost-free for schools.
Families simply order if they love their photos! There is no upfront payment and no obligation to purchase.
Picture Day can also be a great fundraising opportunity for the school — I donate 10% of my proceeds back to the program.
I offer digital images and prints à la carte, as well as packages to fit all budgets.

50% off photo orders for staff
10% of my proceeds back to the school as my appreciation for the opportunity
Free delivery to the school for orders placed within the 2-week ordering window
Direct communication with families, including gallery access and order reminders
About one month prior, I’ll request student information (first & last name, date of birth, teacher, and parent email), provided via spreadsheet or CSV.
2–4 weeks before Picture Day, I’ll send the school a private Picture Day webpage link (created exclusively for your school) to share with families.
Families are always welcome to contact me directly with questions.
I offer both indoor and outdoor sessions, taking advantage of natural light whenever possible.
Indoor sessions:
Neutral, distraction-free portraits
Constant studio lighting (no flashes, so kids aren’t startled)
One backdrop color selected by the school (black, gray, or off-white)
Outdoor sessions (weather permitting):
Location chosen together (green areas, brick walls, playground, etc.)
Tent provided if needed to create open shade, plus a bench for seating
Sibling photos and class photos can also be scheduled if desired.
Online gallery is ready approximately 2 weeks after Picture Day.
Once ready, online gallery is access through the school’s private webpage and both the school and parents are notified.
Each kid will have approximately 5 to 10 professionally edited images and families can choose prints and/or digital files. All ordering and payment are handled easily online.
Digital orders: digital files will be automatically sent via email shortly after orders are processed.
Print orders: Free delivery to your school for print orders placed within the 2-weeks ordering window, with direct shipping option also available.
Families have 2 weeks to place orders.
After the deadline, print orders close and only digital orders remain available.
Parents receive two reminder emails before the deadline.
I keep all proof files indefinitely, so families can still order later if needed.
